About this policy

This policy sets the rules for LNW-Guest, the free guest Wi‑Fi at Light & Wonder offices. It is provided by Light & Wonder, Inc. ("L&W", "we"). You accept it each time you tick "I agree to the Acceptable Use Policy" and connect. If you don't agree, please don't use the network.

If you work for Light & Wonder, or work with us as a contractor, Light & Wonder's policies also apply to you on this network, and L&W work belongs on L&W devices on LNW-Corp.

Use it lawfully

• Follow the law of the country you're in.
• Don't use the network to access, create, store or share anything illegal, harassing or sexually explicit.
• Don't pretend to be someone else, or send messages that mislead people about who sent them.
• Don't infringe copyright or anyone else's rights. Peer-to-peer file sharing isn't allowed, and we block it.

Keep it safe

• Don't scan, probe, hack or attack any network, system or device, and don't spread malware.
• Don't try to reach L&W's internal systems or other guests' devices.
• Don't send spam. Sending email directly from your device (port 25) is blocked.
• Don't run servers or services that other people connect to.
• Don't share this connection with other devices or people, for example by turning your device into a hotspot. Everyone who uses LNW-Guest signs in for themselves.
• Don't connect routers, access points or other network equipment, and don't interfere with the network or its equipment.
• Don't try to get around our filtering or security controls. Using a VPN to protect your connection is fine, and we recommend it; using a VPN or any other tool to reach content we block is not. [[LEGAL: confirm the VPN wording]]

Share it fairly

Everyone in the office shares the connection. Please don't use so much of it, for so long, that others can't get their work done. Each device is limited to 20 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload, and guest Wi‑Fi at each office has an overall limit too.

What we filter and log

• What we filter: sites and services known for malware, phishing and similar threats, and peer-to-peer file sharing. We don't filter by topic, and we don't inspect encrypted traffic.
• What we log: your name and email; your device's MAC and IP addresses; the access point and office; when you connect and when your access ends; and which version of this policy you accepted. The network also logs connection details: the addresses and ports your device connects to, the times, and whether each connection was allowed or blocked. Our access points also detect nearby devices to measure how busy the office is. [[LEGAL: align with the privacy notice's note on URL logging and hostname analysis (memo P10)]]
• Why: to keep the network and the people using it safe, to investigate misuse and to meet our legal duties.
• How long: registrations for 190 days after your session ends. Our privacy notice gives the period for each kind of record.
• When we disclose it: to L&W's IT and security teams when they investigate a problem, to the providers who run the service for us, and to authorities when the law requires it.

Protect yourself

• LNW-Guest has no password. Where your device supports Wi‑Fi Enhanced Open, it's used automatically, but it encrypts only the radio link between your device and our access point. Devices without it connect with no Wi‑Fi encryption.
• Beyond the access point, the Wi‑Fi doesn't protect your traffic. Use HTTPS websites and secure apps, or a VPN.
• Enhanced Open can't prove that a network called LNW-Guest is really ours. Our sign‑in page is always at guest.lnw.com, and it never asks for a password.
• You're responsible for your device and your data. Keep your software up to date.

Sessions last 12 hours

Each sign‑in gives you 12 hours of internet access. After that, you'll be asked to accept this policy again. If the internet stops working, turn Wi‑Fi off and on to bring back the sign‑in page.

If you break these rules

If we believe you're breaking this policy, or to protect the network, we may block your device or end your session without notice. We may report suspected illegal activity to the authorities, and we cooperate with their investigations.

No warranty

The service is free and provided "as is". We don't promise that it will always be available, fast or secure, or that it will suit what you want to do, and we may change, limit or withdraw it at any time. As far as the law allows, L&W isn't liable for any loss or damage that comes from using it, including lost data or harm from content you access. Nothing in this policy limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit, or your rights as a consumer. [[LEGAL: confirm liability wording per jurisdiction]]

We may update this policy. You'll see the current version the next time you sign in, and we record which version you accepted.
